Acupuncture is a complete system of healing which has been practiced in China and other Eastern countries for thousands of years. The focus of acupuncture is on improving the overall well being of the patient as a whole and, as such it is used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses.The principal aim of acupuncture in treating the whole person is to recover the equilibrium between the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual.

Diagnosis involves the identification of the patient’s constitutional and emotional make-up, their weaknesses and their strengths. At the initial consultation a patient will be asked about his or her main complaint and full health history. The resulting treatment will be based on the individuals needs taking into consideration, age, symptoms, general constitution and life circumstances. Each diagnosis is unique and tailored specifically to each patients constitutional needs.

The initial consultation takes an hour and a half and is designed to provide the practitioner with all the information necessary to make a complete individual diagnosis. Follow-up sessions last between 45 minutes and an hour.

Each session costs £35.
